British Fire Mark Plaques
In 18th century England, fire marks identified homes and buildings that were properly insured. But without a visible fire mark provided by the insurance company, no effort would ever be made by authorities to extinguish a burning blaze at that building. An homage to times past, these aged, cast iron reproductions can be mounted by your front door, in your kitchen or in the garden. PR4532 Shown left to right: Portcullis, 61/2"W x 9"H.
